Button is a good example of how sweet and alpaca can be. When she was about two months old she got an ear infection. As part of the treatment I had to give a penicillin shot twice a day, after putting up the expected protest about being caught she would look up at me and hold still for her shot she knew was coming. After giving her the shot and while rubbing the injection site she would give me that "I know you are trying to help me." look and then just stand there when let her go.
She is fine proof that "breeding up" works. Her dam HHR Tosca is a great mom but quite plane in the looks department. Her sire El Ranchito's Antonio did a very nice job up grading her head and confirmation. We will post her fleece numbers after spring shearing but from the handle I know they will be good.
She will be weaned the end of May '09, so:
